WordPress as a family archive tool

One of the best ways to archive for long term family memories is a blogging system like WordPress. For now there is stll the need for some technical skills to maintain such a site although basic functionality and support is offered free of charge at wordpress.com.

For the skilled people who put value on their family memories, and are ready to dedicate a good part of their life for maintenace tasks, they could get full control and functionality installing at home a multi-user blogging server like Wordpress MU. Family blogs for each member, relatives and frinds could stay in the family if at least one or two individuals are able to build, operate, train and maintain the system log term.

If such a system is properly maintained and upgraded over decades and generations, full journals of family (or community) members can be available as valuable experinces for individuals sharing the same genes.

When technology will be available, with the hope that technology progress trends will continue as in the past, plugins will be added to the system, to explore journals in search for answers and to build/extract characters which can be uploaded and materialized in AI agents plugins which could entertain a meaningful discussion with biological living family. And if enough resources are available such characters can have a life of their own, a digital one, with its pros and cons, and theoretical, they can even keep running their business and hobbies.
